Friday 11th October – we have our ‘Sligo and Friends – Fast Friday’ game (6 minutes per board) starting at 8.15 p.m. until 10.00 p.m. – All Welcome.
Monday night 14th October from 8.15 p.m. until 10.15 p.m. – OPEN – All Welcome.
Tuesday 15th October – we have two separate pair games i.e. one for ‘Novices’ and ‘Inter B’ and a second game for ‘Intermediate A’ players. Also on Tuesday 15th October we have our 15 board ‘Individual’ competition at 8.15 p.m. playing ‘Acol’ Weak no-trump, 4 card majors, Stayman, Transfers and Weak two openings – All Welcome.
Wednesday 16th October – we have our ‘Sligo and Friends’ game at 8.15 p.m. until 10.15 p.m. OPEN – All Welcome.
Thursday 17th October – we have our ‘Sligo and Friends’ game at 8.15 p.m. until 10.15 p.m. OPEN – All Welcome.

Una Walsh (Galway) RIP
The Bridge World has lost another ‘Legend’ – our good friend Una Walsh has passed away. Una was a past President of the CBAI and also of the Irish Bridge Union. In her spare time she was secretary of the CBAI, secretary of the Western Region and a founder of the Galway Bridge Centre and for many years she singlehandedly produced the Irish Bridge Journal. Una was a sister of the late Paddy Walsh and Aunt to Clodagh and David. Una was dedicated to the promotion of Bridge both locally and nationally and was especially kind, generous and encouaging to junior players. The world of Bridge owes her a great dept of gratitude. We extend our deepest sympathies to Clodagh, David, her sisters Ann, Mabel, Mary, Patricia and her brother Eamon. May she Rest in Peace.
