Tomorrow night’s Improver Game will be a play and learn ‘card play and defence’ night.  7.30 to 9.30.  All welcome.

The last game of the season takes place this coming  Monday Night 18th December – Turkey and Ham prizes.  All welcome.   Please note that there will NOT be a game this coming Wednesday night December 20th…….instead why not try……


The Glory of Christmas

This wonderful Christmas Concert will take place on Wednesday week 20th December in the Sligo Park Hotel 8 p.m.   ‘The Glory of Christmas’ will be performed by students of Anne-Marie Keaney with special guest stars Michael Rooney (Harp), June McCormack (Flute), Sligo Cathedral Choir, Nicola Cleary (Violin) and Anne-Marie Keaney.  There will be brilliant spot prizes on the night including  a Clarion/Maldron voucher worth €300. Proceeds from the night 100% to the Mitchell Sisters Fund.  Tickets €10.  All welcome.

Congratulations to tonight’s champions Eileen Keaney and Fr. Hugh McGonagle – leading from the start with a fantastic display of bidding and card play skill – Fr. Hugh has finally found his ‘MoJo’ having returned to the game after a 20 year break and having to unlearn all the ‘tips’ he learned from his Connolly friends in the midlands.


Next Thursday Night’s Improver Class will be the last before Christmas and will be a practical night dealing with various examples of declarer play and defence – All Welcome.

We are sorry to hear of the death of one of our earlier members Dorothy O’Grady – May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.


Our Annual Individual Championship takes place this coming Monday night 11th December. 

Our Christmas Game takes place this coming Wednesday 13th December – Please give your names to Mary Lyons, Eva Giblin, Gladys or Mairead.
